My parents own a home in PA that I lived in all my life before college, but they don't make much. I am going to be working in MA, but we want to put the house and payments under my name. I was wondering how it would affect tax. I know I wouldn't get double taxed for income (I would likely just pay MA tax), but I was wondering how property tax is affected by residency.
I am still a resident in the PA home, but once I work I assume that I would have to change it to MA because I have more connections there. Would my property tax be higher?
I'm looking for answers similar to the ones given in this post, but applicable to PA.
