Just found out (without him knowing) that our landlord is planning to sell our house after he does some renovations. Probably will take 6 months of pretty significant repairs and upgrades.
He doesn’t know that we’d consider buying it either. In fact, we really like this place and have been in the market for a while. I’m wondering if it would be worth approaching him about it.
Just trying to understand this from a landlord’s POV. Any advantages or disadvantages for him to sell to us?
Any possible risks or points of leverage for us or him to keep in mind?
Any/all advice for navigating this is appreciated.
